Our History & Purpose
In 1986, Robert Cave and Denny Cheney left Prudential to form their own insurance brokerage firm, marketing exclusively to attorneys and judges. In the early days, Bob and Denny would travel by car all over Texas, meeting personally with clients in their offices. However, one day due to an illness, Denny decided to hold the appointment over the phone instead. Not only was that phone interview a resounding success, but also the attorney was so appreciative of the brevity, this became their new approach. We have been doing business this way ever since.
Of course we’ve experienced a lot of change and growth since the ‘early days’. Bob Cave has left the firm to pursue other interests and we’ve expanded to a staff of 50 with six licensed agents in house, serving over 12,000+ clients.
We believe that the way we interact with our clients makes us unique.
We never require our busy clients to sit down for a personal interview. We can take care of everything electronically or over the phone/fax, depending on your preference. After a brief initial interview via fax or email, we provide you with a quote and a completed application packet requiring only your signature. We take care of scheduling the mandatory mini-physical, and send a mobile examiner to your home or office, scheduled at your convenience. This is all done with the goal of interrupting our clients as little as possible. However, any time you call our firm during business hours, you’ll never get an automated message service. A live receptionist always answers your call. And if you would like to visit our office in Cedar Park, Texas, we would welcome the opportunity to meet you in person.
As a broker, we represent over 20 of the top-rated carriers in the country.
We will try to choose the best carrier for you, based on your health and family history. However, if that carrier issues a rating that you are unhappy with, we can shop other carriers with no further medical requirements from you.
Your relationship as our client doesn’t end with the initial sale…it’s just the beginning. We will keep you updated on industry changes, and check in with you periodically to see if your needs have changed. We have found that our clients appreciate this, as their businesses and personal lives evolve.
